Contest will help needy

The Perzel Agency, an insurance firm at 7338 Frankford Ave. in Mayfair, is running a Facebook contest to award Christmas dinners to needy families in the Northeast. The contest runs from Dec. 2-16.


Hall of Fame dinner is Nov. 30

Cost of Thanksgiving is lower than last year

Philadelphians who shop for the makings of a Thanksgiving feast are likely to pay a little less for a turkey and all the trimmings than they did last year, according to City Controller Alan Butkovitz.
