PRCG to meet

The Port Rich­mond Com­munity Group will meet to­mor­row, Nov. 21, at 7 p.m., at Our Lady Help of Chris­ti­ans Church hall base­ment, Al­legheny Av­en­ue at Gaul Street. 

NK­CDC will present a neigh­bor­hood im­prove­ment plan, which will util­ize newly ob­tained grant money to help the neigh­bor­hood. PGW will dis­cuss a home re­bate pro­gram, and Parks and Re­cre­ation will ac­cept main­ten­ance re­quests for all loc­al play­grounds. 

SEPTA will also dis­cuss up­dates about the I-95 im­prove­ment pro­ject. Email prcghelp@aol.com with ques­tions. ••

Sons of Italy Ladies Night

Re­cycle with the Girl Scouts

Save your alu­min­um cans for drop off on Sat­urday, Nov. 23 at the Ed Sul­li­van Re­cycle Cen­ter, on 3361 Ed­ge­mont St. (between Ontario and West­mor­land Sts.) from 10 a.m. to noon. 

Just drive up with your re­cyc­lables and the girls will come and take them out of your car for you. Pro­ceeds will help fund­ing for spe­cial ser­vice pro­jects planned by the girls. ••

NK­CDC green re­sources meet­ing

The NK­CDC will be shar­ing green re­sources and event in­form­a­tion with neigh­bors at a spe­cial event at Blessed Vir­gin Mary Nativ­ity Church, 2535 E. Al­legheny Ave., at 10 a.m. on Sat­urday, Nov. 23.

LOPR trip to Lan­caster

The Ladies of Port Rich­mond will take a trip to the Amer­ic­an Mu­sic Theatre in Lan­caster to see The First Noel Christ­mas on Sat­urday, Nov. 30. Cost of tick­ets is $100 for adults, $70 for chil­dren 11 to 17, and $60 for chil­dren un­der 10.

Beef-and-beer for St. Joachim

Brides­burg Rec. Christ­mas drive

Through the Aid for Friends Christ­mas 2013 drive, items for seni­or shut-ins are cur­rently be­ing col­lec­ted at the Brides­burg Re­cre­ation Cen­ter.
