‘Faith heal’ parents plead no contest to murder charges

A Rhawnhurst couple whose belief in faith healing led to the April death of their 8-month-old son pleaded no contest to murder and related charges last week.

Rhawnhurst Raiders coach arrested for child molestation

A volunteer football coach for the Rhawnhurst Raiders was arrested last week for sexually assaulting two boys repeatedly in his North Philadelphia home.


Police search for gunman in motel robbery

Police arrested one gunman but are searching for two more who robbed two women inside a Northeast motel room last month. The holdup occurred on Oct. 28 at the Roosevelt Motor Inn, 7600 Roosevelt Blvd. According to police, two women ages 19 and 21 heard a knock at their door at about 2 a.m. and opened it. The robbers entered the room, brandished handguns and demanded the victims’ valuables.
