Brides­burg His­tor­ic­al So­ci­ety to­night

The next meet­ing of the Brides­burg His­tor­ic­al So­ci­ety will be to­night at 7:30 p.m. at Mari­an Hall on the north­w­est corner of Ed­ge­mont and Bucki­us Streets. The guest speak­er will be a rep­res­ent­at­ive  from Glen Fo­erd Man­sion.  Ad­mis­sion is free. ••

Kon­rad Square flea mar­ket

The Friends of Kon­rad Square will host a flea mar­ket on Nov. 16, at Kon­rad Square, Tulip and Dauph­in streets, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. To rent a space call 215-426-9654. ••

Feed the birds in Penn Treaty Park

On Sat­urday, Nov. 16, the 331st an­niversary of the peace treaty made between Chief Taman­end and Wil­li­am Penn will be cel­eb­rated at 11 a.m. At 10 a.m., the Friends of Penn Treaty Park will be hold­ing the “Feed the Birds for Thanks­giv­ing” event. Please bring food for birds. ••

St. Anne’s Christ­mas Bazaar

St. Anne’s will host a hol­i­day craft and Christ­mas Bazaar on Sat­urday, Nov. 16, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will be held on the second floor in the So­cial Hall, Mem­ph­is and Tuck­er streets. 

There will be many vendors, plus games for chil­dren and homemade food. Tables are still avail­able for $25. To re­serve a table, call Kar­en 215-634-6138. ••

Girls Scouts at Glav­in events

The Girl Scouts will serve up pan­cakes at an Ap­ple­bees’ Pan­cake Break­fast on Sunday, Nov. 17, from 8 to 10 a.m. at Ap­ple­bees on Castor and Gaul streets. Cost: $7 per per­son. Tick­ets are avail­able at the Glav­in Play­ground, 2600 E West­mo­re­land St.

The Girl Scouts are also hold­ing a re­cyc­ling col­lec­tion date on Sat­urday, Nov. 23 at the Ed Sul­li­van Re­cycle Cen­ter, on 3361 Ed­ge­mont St. (between Ontario and West­mo­re­land Sts.) from 10:00 a.m. to noon. ••

Classes at Brides­burg Rec.

Zumba classes are be­ing held Mondays and Thursdays from 7 to 8 p.m. Zumba Ton­ing is on Wed­nes­days. Cost: $4 per class. Scrap­book­ing class is Wed­nes­days from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Cione Rec Cen­ter

The Cione after school pro­gram now has open­ings. The pro­gram is for boys and girls age 5 to 12.  It runs from 2:30 to 6 p.m., Monday to Fri­day from now un­til Me­mori­al Day in May.

Christ­mas Car­ols in Penn Treaty Park

On Sat­urday, Decem­ber 14, at 2 p.m., the singing of Christ­mas Car­ols will take place at Penn Treaty Park. Chil­dren are en­cour­aged to bring hand­made or­na­ments to dec­or­ate the Christ­mas tree. ••
