Brides­burg His­tor­ic­al So­ci­ety to meet
The next meet­ing of the Brides­burg His­tor­ic­al So­ci­ety will be held to­night at 7:30 p.m., at All Saints Mari­an Hall, on the north­w­est corner of Ed­ge­mont and Bucki­us streets.

Adam Lev­ine, a his­tor­ic­al con­sult­ant to the Phil­adelphia Wa­ter De­part­ment, will speak on the city’s wa­ter­sheds and sew­ers. Ad­mis­sion is free and open to the pub­lic.  Re­fresh­ments will be served. For in­form­a­tion, call 215-535-3828. ••

Girls’ anti-bul­ly­ing work­shop
 Girls ages 10-18 from Phil­adelphia and sur­round­ing areas are in­vited to at­tend D.I.V.A Academy: “My BFF,” a free anti-bul­ly­ing event on Sat­urday, May 18 at Cal­vary Chris­ti­an Church, 6000 Large St. The work­shop, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., will ad­dress the grow­ing prob­lem of bul­ly­ing amongst girls. Free tax prep for late filers
The Nor­ris Square Civic As­so­ci­ation will of­fer free tax pre­par­a­tion ser­vices on Tues­day, May 14 from noon to 6 p.m. at 174 W. Dia­mond St. You must call 215-634-7245 to make an ap­point­ment. Please bring a so­cial se­cur­ity card, a photo ID,  in­come tax forms, a voided check for Dir­ect De­pos­it, form 1098 tu­ition state­ment if ap­plic­able and child­care or day­care ex­pense state­ments. It’s bet­ter to be late than nev­er file. ••

Fishtown Tots Preschool Pro­gram
Preschool at Fishtown Re­cre­ation Cen­ter re­gis­tra­tion days for the 2013/14 school year are to­night from 6 to 7:30 p.m., and Wed­nes­day, May 15, 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Class for 3-year-olds: child should be three by Septem­ber 1; classes held Tues­days and Wed­nes­days 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Class for 4-year-olds: child should be four by Septem­ber 1; classes held Tues­day, Wed­nes­day and Thursday, 8:30 to 11 a.m.

Trenton Ave Arts Fest and Sculp­ture Derby
The Trenton Av­en­ue Arts fest­iv­al, with over 200 crafts and food vendors, will take place from 12 to 5 p.m. on Sat­urday, May 18, at Trenton Av­en­ue and Nor­ris Street.
