Zuri is ready to bright­en your home

Zuri is a 6- to 12-month-old pit bull/ter­ri­er mix

who weighs about 52 pounds.

The dog is deaf, but her vo­lun­teer train­ers are teach­ing her sign lan­guage.

Zuri is at Phil­adelphia’s An­im­al Care and Con­trol, at 111 W. Hunt­ing Park Ave. Her tag num­ber is A19273189.

Ad­op­tion hours are week­days from 1 to 8 p.m. and week­ends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. ••

Wonton’s wait­ing to curl up with you

Wonton was found try­ing to for­age food from trash cans and stay warm and dry earli­er this spring.

Now safe and warm in a North­east An­im­al Res­cue foster home, the 4-month-old cat is sweet and play­ful.

Wonton is neutered and cur­rent on vac­cin­a­tions, and has tested neg­at­ive for the fe­line im­mun­ode­fi­ciency and leuk­emia vir­uses.

Sweetie Bell is a sweetie in­deed

Sweetie Bell is a tiny year-old calico/tabby mix who loves every­one she meets. She is very good-natured, and gets along with peace­ful cats and dogs.

Sweetie Bell is in foster care via Phil­adelphia’s An­im­al Care and Con­trol. She is spayed, vac­cin­ated and mi­cro­chipped, and has tested neg­at­ive for the fe­line leuk­emia and im­mun­ode­fi­ciency vir­uses.
