Port Rich­mond Com­munity Group to meet

State Rep. John Taylor will be present, along with a present­a­tion by C.A.R.I.E., the Cen­ter for Ad­vocacy, Right and In­terests of the Eld­erly. C.A.R.I.E. will ad­dress crime against seni­ors.

Wal­ter L. Ma­son Fed­er­al Post 152 Me­mori­al Day events sched­ule

On Sat­urday, May 25, be­gin­ning at 9 a.m. at the Tezzi Re­itz Monu­ment, at Ara­mingo Av­en­ue and Somer­set Street, post mem­bers will hold ce­re­mon­ies hon­or­ing vet­er­ans at sev­er­al loc­a­tions. A spe­cial Mass will be held on Sunday, May 26, at 8:30 a.m. at St. George Church.

On Monday, Post 152 will host a Me­mori­al Day ce­re­mony be­gin­ning at 8 a.m. in the Cas­bah Cater­ers park­ing lot. After the ce­re­mony, Post 152 will vis­it the graves­ite of Port Rich­mond res­id­ent Louis Zer­illo, then head to Brides­burg to take part in the parade at 10 a.m.

Rich­mond Lib­rary events

Sci­ence in the Sum­mer at the Rich­mond Lib­rary will be held Ju­ly 9 and 10. This sum­mer’s top­ic is chem­istry. All chil­dren must be pre-re­gistered.
