Fishtown Tots Preschool Pro­gram
Preschool at Fishtown Re­cre­ation Cen­ter re­gis­tra­tion day for the 2013/14 school year is to­night from 6 to 7:30 p.m.Class for 3-year-olds: child should be three by Septem­ber 1; classes held Tues­days and Wed­nes­days 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Class for 4-year-olds: child should be four by Septem­ber 1; classes held Tues­day, Wed­nes­day and Thursday, 8:30 to 11 a.m. For re­gis­tra­tion, bring your child’s birth cer­ti­fic­ate, im­mun­iz­a­tion re­cord and a $20 non-re­fund­able re­gis­tra­tion fee. Trenton Ave Arts Fest and Sculp­ture Derby
The Trenton Av­en­ue Arts fest­iv­al, with over 200 crafts and food vendors, will take place from 12 to 5 p.m. on Sat­urday, May 18, at Trenton Av­en­ue and Nor­ris Street. The fest­iv­al in­cludes the Kens­ing­ton Kin­et­ic Sculp­ture Derby, with mo­bile sculp­ture paraded on a three-mile urb­an obstacle course in­clud­ing a mud pit, start­ing at noon. Wildey St., a pro­pos­al for a one-story rear ad­di­tion to an ex­ist­ing single-fam­ily home. This meet­ing will take place at the Fishtown Rec. Cen­ter, 1202 E. Stu­dents to per­form per­son­al stor­ies
B. Someday Pro­duc­tions of Fishtown/Kens­ing­ton, along with Mari­ana Bracetti Academy High School will present the cul­min­a­tion of a semester’s work with the stu­dents at a pub­lic per­form­ance on Tues­day, May 21 at 4 and 6 p.m. The per­form­ance, en­titled “Of Myth­ic Pro­por­tions” was cre­ated from the 9th-12th grade stu­dent’s per­son­al stor­ies about grow­ing up in Kens­ing­ton and how vi­ol­ence has be­come a part of their lives. The stu­dents will per­form their work at The Walk­ing Fish Theatre, 2509 Frank­ford Ave. Fol­low­ing the work­shop will be a re­cep­tion with re­fresh­ments. The cost is free.••

The Moth­er of Di­vine Grace Par­ish an­nu­al Itali­an Fest­iv­al will be held May 30 and 31, and June 1, 6, 7 and 8. The fest­iv­al be­gins at 4:30 p.m. each day and runs through the even­ing. Au­then­t­ic Itali­an sup­pers avail­able each night. Games of chance, games for the kids, gambling, beer garden, in­stant bingo, and lots of homemade de­li­cious food will also be avail­able. Rich­mond Lib­rary events
Sci­ence in the Sum­mer at the Rich­mond Lib­rary will be held Ju­ly 9 and 10. This sum­mer’s top­ic is chem­istry. All chil­dren must be pre-re­gistered. Youth bas­ket­ball league in Kens­ing­ton
