Frankford CDC undergoes several personnel changes

The Frankford Community Development Corp. is going through some changes.

Board president Marie Delany and CDC managing director Tracy O’Drain both resigned recently. Commercial corridor manager Michelle Feldman also left the neighborhood organization in the past few months. She now works as executive director of Keep Philadelphia Beautiful.

Since 2006, Delany had been board president of the organization dedicated to promoting and developing Frankford.

O’Drain and Feldman ran the CDC offices on the 4900 block of Griscom St. With their departures, those offices have been closed for a few weeks, board acting president Mike O’Brien said May 10.

That’s meant residents have been denied access to the community computer lab the CDC has hosted for the past year. O’Brien said board members will meet this week to work out the details of reopening the computer lab.

According to the online Frankford Gazette, O’Drain worked at the CDC for nine years, taking it from the verge of bankruptcy to stability. Feldman, according to the Gazette, became commercial corridor manager in 2011 and was key to bringing new businesses to Frankford.

“She served as secretary of the Frankford Business and Professional Association and was well-known and appreciated by the business community,” according to the Gazette.
