Police seek two men in pharmacy burglary

Philadelphia police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying two men in connection with a pharmacy burglary in Torresdale.

On May 5 at 10:30 p.m., two white men were captured on surveillance video attempting to gain access to the Delaire Pharmacy at 9456 State Road by forcing open the rear door.

When the pair opened the rear door, they encountered an interior gate. After an unsuccessful attempt to gain access, the men drove to the front of the pharmacy and pried open the front door.

After successfully gaining access to the pharmacy, one of the burglars disarmed the alarm and took numerous pills while the second suspect was inside the vehicle. A short time later, the second man exited the vehicle, opened the front door to the pharmacy and alerted the first man that the police were en route, information he received via a police scanner inside the vehicle. Both then fled the pharmacy north on State Road.

The first man was stocky and wore a black baseball hat, dark hooded sweatshirt and black shorts. The second man wore a black hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. They drove a red 2008 SRT8 Jeep Grand Cherokee with factory spoke wheels.
