PRCG to meet to­mor­row
The Port Rich­mond Com­munity Group will meet to­mor­row at 7 p.m. at Our Lady Help of Chris­ti­ans Church Hall on Al­legheny Av­en­ue and Gaul Street. Fishtown A.V.I. meet­ing to­mor­row
Join the FNA to­mor­row at 7 p.m. at the Fishtown Rec. Cen­ter; the main speak­er for the even­ing will be Mar­isa Wax­man from the Of­fice of Prop­erty As­sess­ment (OPA), who will field ques­tions about the Ac­tu­al Value Ini­ti­at­ive (AVI). The format of the meet­ing will be a mod­er­ated Q&A ses­sion, and neigh­bors are in­vited to sub­mit ques­tions ahead of time to AVIques­tions@fishtown.org. Bring your as­ses­ment to the meet­ing. ••

Port Rich­mond Theatre Com­pany presents “Guys and Dolls”
Check out the re­main­ing shows of the stage clas­sic at the Lithuani­an Mu­sic Hall, 2715 E. Lure Salon Cut-a-Thon for Matty Holmes
On Sunday, March 24, join neigh­bors and friends at Lure Salon, 3247 E. Thompson St., for a Cut-a-Thon from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., to be­ne­fit the Matty Holmes Schol­ar­ship Fund. Kids cuts are $5, teens are $15, adults are $20, in­cludes hair­cuts only. ••

Fishtown chili cook-off
The Fishtown Neigh­bors As­so­ci­ation is host­ing its third an­nu­al chili cook-off on Sunday, March 24, from 1 to 4 p.m. at 2424 Stu­di­os, 2424 E. York St. Ten am­a­teur Fishtown con­test­ants will be joined by entries from last year’ win­ner, Loco Pez, and many loc­al res­taur­ants. Beer by Phil­adelphia Brew­ing Com­pany and Ne­sham­iny Creek Brew­ing Com­pany. Come and cast your vote along­side food blog­ger Drew Lazor and Ra­dio 104.5’s Wendy Rollins. Ad­mis­sion is $15, tick­ets can be pur­chased in ad­vance (via Payp­al at www.fishtown.org) or at the door. FNA pint glasses are avail­able with ad­vance pur­chase for only $3. A $10 ‘chili-only’ ad­mis­sion will be avail­able at the door. ••

Ladies of Port Rich­mond bus trip

PRCG neigh­bor­hood clean up
The Port Rich­mond Com­munity Group is spon­sor­ing a clean up pro­ject on Sat­urday, April 13, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., on Ara­mingo Av­en­ue to Jan­ney Street and Al­legheny Av­en­ue to Ann Street. The city will sup­ply trash bags, brooms, rakes, gloves and shovels. Trash from the clean up will be picked up at the corner of each of these streets. Sup­plies will be picked up at the corner of Tulip and Clear­field Streets at start time. ••

MDG ‘Night at the Races’
Join your neigh­bors at Moth­er of Di­vine Grace, Thompson and Cam­bria streets, for a fun-filled night of en­ter­tain­ment and in­dul­gence on April 13 at 8 p.m. (doors at 7 p.m.) The night will in­clude games of chance, poker, raffles and oth­er card games. East­er candy at Beth­esda United
Beth­esda United Meth­od­ist Church, 2820 E. Ven­ango St., will sell homemade East­er candy on Sat­urday, March 23, and Sat­urday, March 30, from 10 a.m. to noon at the church.Candy for sale in­cludes but­ter cream, coconut, pea­nut but­ter and chocol­ate East­er eggs, plus lol­li­pops and chocol­ate ducks and lambs. East­er egg hunt at Penn Treaty Park
The Friends of Penn Treaty Park will host an East­er egg hunt on Sat­urday, March 23 at 10 a.m., at Penn Treaty Park. Don’t for­get to bring a bas­ket or bag for your eggs. ••

Powers Park East­er egg hunt
Powers Park is hav­ing an East­er egg hunt for chil­dren un­der 10 on Sat­urday, March 23, at 11 a.m. Re­gis­tra­tion is re­quired at the Rich­mond Lib­rary, $2 per child. Bring you own bas­kets and cam­era for pic­tures with the East­er Bunny. There will be prizes, games, mu­sic, pizza and a bake sale. Dona­tions for bake sale would be greatly ap­pre­ci­ated and you can bring that morn­ing. Rain date March 30. ••

East­er egg hunt at Frank Glav­in
Frank Glav­in Play­ground, 2600 West­mo­re­land St., in­vites chil­dren aged 2 to 8 years to at­tend its yearly East­er egg hunt, on Thursday, March 28 from noon to 1 p.m. Pre-re­gis­tra­tion at the play­ground of­fice, no later than Monday, March 25, is re­quired. Pic­tures with the East­er Bunny will also be avail­able dur­ing the event for a $4 fee. Re­fresh­ments will also be avail­able for sale. ••
