Bridesburg Historical Society talk
The next meeting of the Bridesburg Historical Society will be held tonight at 7:30 p.m, at All Saints’ Marian Hall, on the northwest corner of Edgemont and Buckius streets.

Ladies of Port Richmond fundraiser
Join the Ladies of Port Richmond Friday, March 15 from 6:30 to 10 p.m. for a night of female empowerment, wellness, wine and cheese. A suggested donation to the event is $10; all proceeds go to LOPR.

FACT’s Easter party

Lure Salon Cut-a-Thon for Matty Holmes

Fishtown chili cook-off
The Fishtown Neighbors Association is hosting its third annual chili cook-off on Sunday, March 24, from 1 to 4 p.m. at 2424 Studios, 2424 E. York St. Ten amateur Fishtown contestants will be joined by entries from last year’ winner, Loco Pez, as well as Sketch Burger, Barcade, East Girard Gastropub, Interstate Drafthouse, Fishtown Tavern, Cedar Point Bar & Kitchen, Lloyd, and more. Beer generously provided by Philadelphia Brewing Company and Neshaminy Creek Brewing Company.
Come and cast your vote for the best professional and people’s choice winner alongside Drew Lazor (preeminent food blogger), Wendy Rollins (Radio 104.5) and other surprise judges.

Easter egg hunt at Frank Glavin
Frank Glavin Playground, 2600 Westmoreland St., invites children aged 2 to 8 years to attend its yearly Easter egg hunt, on Thursday, March 28 from noon to 1 p.m. Pre-registration at the playground office, no later than Monday, March 25, is required. Pictures with the Easter Bunny will also be available during the event for a $4 fee. Refreshments will also be available for sale. ••

Zombies’ Baseball Club seeks players
The Zombies, a men’s baseball team that plays in the New Jersey Independent Baseball league, is looking for players 18 and over for the 2013 season.
