Credit card stolen as victims slumber

Phil­adelphia po­lice are search­ing for a man who al­legedly broke in­to a May­fair house and used a vic­tim's cred­it card at a nearby gas sta­tion last week.

The break-in oc­curred between 10 p.m. on May 27 and 2 a.m. the fol­low­ing morn­ing while the vic­tims were asleep in­side their home on the 3000 block of Guil­ford St. The un­known burg­lar took nu­mer­ous cred­it cards, laptop com­puters and keys.

Shortly after 2 a.m., the vic­tims re­ceived a tele­phone call from a cred­it card com­pany stat­ing that their card had been used to make a pur­chase at the 7-El­ev­en at 3301 Tyson Ave. Po­lice re­covered sur­veil­lance video from the store that showed a man al­legedly us­ing the stolen card at a gas pump.
