Construction forces northbound 95 lanes to close late Thursday and early Friday

Con­tract­ors for the Pennsylvania De­part­ment of Trans­port­a­tion will close north­bound lanes of In­ter­state 95 between Bridge Street and Cottman Av­en­ue on Thursday night and early Fri­day for storm in­let ad­just­ments in the Cottman Av­en­ue In­ter­change work zone.

Crews will close one of the three north­bound lanes at 8 p.m., fol­lowed by the clos­ing of a second lane at mid­night. The lanes will re­open at 5 a.m.

The work is part of the $212.3 mil­lion pro­ject to re­build and im­prove 1.4 miles of I-95 and the Cottman Av­en­ue In­ter­change. Crews are re­con­struct­ing and widen­ing I-95 between Bleigh Av­en­ue and Levick Street. Vis­it www.95re­ for in­form­a­tion. ••
