The scholarship winners were:

• Emily Cruz-Pineda, who received $2,500 toward tuition at Little Flower High School.

• William Trimarco, who received $1,500 toward schooling at Father Judge.

• Emily Coleman, a future Little Flower student who received $1,500.

• Vi Pham, who received $1,000 for her studies at St. Hubert.

Members of the Craige family attended the ceremony, which took place on June 12 at the church, at 5450 Roosevelt Blvd. in Oxford Circle.

Danny Craige was a St. Martin’s graduate who died of esophageal cancer in 2006 at age 56. He was a longtime coach, including stints directing football teams at Frankford Boys Club and basketball teams at St. Martin’s.

Craige’s family and the St. Bede the Venerable CYO created the foundation in his memory.

The foundation also provided scholarships to four recent graduates of St. Bede, located in Holland, Bucks County.

That school’s scholarship winners and their future high schools are: Marisa Morano (Villa Joseph Marie), Olivia Eife (Villa Joseph Marie), John Nowicke (Archbishop Wood) and Thomas Cawley (La Salle).

The foundation will hold a golf fundraiser on Sept. 16 at North Hills Country Club.

Donations can be sent to The Danny Craige Foundation, 66 Green Drive, Churchville, PA 18966.
