Sossa needs a new best friend

Sossa is a year-old me­di­um-sized ter­ri­er mix, sur­rendered to the shel­ter be­cause the pre­vi­ous fam­ily was too busy.

Sossa is very friendly and gets along well with oth­er dogs, kids, cats and even strangers.

The dog knows a few com­mands, such as “come,” “sit” and “no.”

Phil­adelphia’s An­im­al Care and Con­trol is loc­ated at 111 W. Hunt­ing Park Ave. Sossa’s tag num­ber is A19407102.

Ad­op­tion hours are week­days from 1 to 8 p.m. and week­ends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. ••

Tal­lie is look­ing for a purr-fect home

Tal­lie was a scared little girl try­ing to find food and shel­ter in the park­ing lot of a home-im­prove­ment store.

Now safe in foster care, Tal­lie is very out­go­ing and friendly. She is great with oth­er cats and chil­dren.

The 4-month-old cat is spayed, cur­rent on vac­cin­a­tions, and has tested neg­at­ive for the fe­line im­mun­ode­fi­ciency and leuk­emia vir­uses.

Big­gie has a big heart

Big­gie is a friendly 3-year-old white tabby. The poor boy was found in the park­ing lot of Phil­adelphia’s An­im­al Care and Con­trol, at 111 W. Hunt­ing Park Ave., and was taken in be­fore he got hurt. He loves mak­ing friends, play­ing, and en­joys hugs and cuddles. Big­gie is un­sure of dogs but is great with kids and oth­er so­cial, act­ive kit­ties.

Big­gie is vac­cin­ated, neutered and mi­cro­chipped, and has tested neg­at­ive for the fe­line leuk­emia and im­mun­ode­fi­ciency vir­uses.
