Anthony Faranca is the new general manager of Parx Casino. Greenwood Racing Inc., the owner and operator of the Bensalem gaming complex, made the announcement.
“I am honored to have the opportunity to lead this incredible team at the No. 1 casino in Pennsylvania,” Faranca said. “I truly look forward to the continued development, expansion and success of this distinguished company.”
Faranca, a Philadelphia native, joined the Greenwood team in 2008 as director of operations and quickly progressed into the assistant general manager role. Within three years, Faranca was promoted to vice president of operations, responsible for all casino operations, player development and VIP marketing strategy.
“Anthony Faranca has always been and will continue to be a tremendous asset to our organization,” said CEO Tony Ricci. “His steadfast leadership, efficient management style and strategic development has helped to build the best casino operations team in the business.”
Prior to working at Parx Casino, Faranca served as regional vice president of national casino marketing for the four Harrah’s Entertainment properties in Atlantic City. Faranca is a graduate of Lehigh University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Parx features 164,000 square feet of gaming, 3,350 slot machines, 110 table games, 60 poker tables and live horse racing and simulcast action. There are also several bars and restaurants. The Street Road facility offers free parking for more than 5,000 vehicles. ••
