Bank robber sought

Sur­veil­lance im­age of the sus­pect.

A man wear­ing a bright red Phil­lies cap robbed a North­east bank on Ju­ly 16. Au­thor­it­ies seek the pub­lic’s help in identi­fy­ing the crook.

The heist oc­curred at the Cit­izens Bank at 2516 Welsh Road at about 10:20 a.m. The rob­ber entered the branch, ap­proached a tell­er, stated he had a gun and de­man­ded money. He did not dis­play a weapon.

The rob­ber ob­tained an un­dis­closed amount of cash and fled on a mo­tor­cycle that was op­er­ated by a second per­son. The cycle was dark in col­or and had a front stor­age bag, along with a broken turn sig­nal hanging from the handle­bars.

The rob­ber was de­scribed as white, 25 to 30 years old, 5 feet 2 inches to 5 feet 4 inches tall and thin. He wore a black long-sleeve V-neck shirt with a white T-shirt un­der­neath and vis­ible around the neck­line. He also wore blue jeans, dark sunglasses and the red Phil­lies cap.

He is con­sidered armed and dan­ger­ous. Call the FBI at 215-418-4000 to re­port in­form­a­tion about the case. ••
