Oh, rats!

Abby Roeser is a foster parent for rats she gets from an organization called Philly Rat Rescue in Rhawnhurst. The local teenager has trained rodents and even taught them tricks. 


O’Neill opens office in FOP headquarters

City Councilman Brian O’Neill (R-10th dist.) has opened a second full-time neighborhood office. The new office is at the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 5 Heroes Hall headquarters, 11630 Caroline Road. The telephone number is 215-437-9167.


Parx names new GM

Anthony Faranca is the new general manager of Parx Casino. Greenwood Racing Inc., the owner and operator of the Bensalem gaming complex, made the announcement.

Rhawnhurst man dies in three-car crash

A Strahle Street man who was driving the wrong way on Aramingo Avenue was killed early Saturday in a three-car accident, police said.
