Terry Tracy, the Republican candidate for city controller, will conduct what he said will be the first in a series of public town hall gatherings around Philadelphia on Tuesday, July 9, from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Holmesburg Recreation Center, at Rhawn and Ditman streets.
The purpose of the “Town Hall with Terry” events is to have a discussion of the city’s governance, to hear feedback from residents and propose solutions for moving Philadelphia toward its potential.
Admission is free, and all residents and business owners in the Northeast are encouraged to attend. Topics will include schools, economic development and government accountability.
Terry, who faces incumbent Democratic City Controller Alan Butkovitz, welcomes people to bring mobile devices so they can tweet and post social media during the event. ••
