Port Rich­mond Com­munity Group to meet
On Thursday, Jan. 24, at 7 p.m., join the PRCG at Our Lady Help of Chris­ti­ans Church Hall, on Al­legheny Av­en­ue at Gaul St., re­gard­ing neigh­bor­hood safety. The group will dis­cuss the crime in Port Rich­mond and how it is be­ing ad­dressed. State Rep. John Taylor, Marc Collazzo, Esq., Lt. Vann of the 24th Dis­trict and Sgt. The Port Rich­mond Ti­gers will spon­sor a Texas hold ’em tour­na­ment Sat­urday, Jan. 26, at the Pol­ish Amer­ic­an Club, Al­legheny Av­en­ue at Rich­mond Street. Tour­na­ment at 7 p.m., re­gis­tra­tion at 6.

Cel­eb­rate with St. Anne’s
St. Anne’s church, 2328 E. Le­high Ave., signed an agree­ment with Vil­lan­ova Uni­versity to di­git­ize  its cemetery re­cords dat­ing from 1845.  This re­la­tion­ship will now al­low these del­ic­ate re­cords to be ex­amined in great­er de­tail. Cook-off and brew con­test
On Feb. 10, from noon to 6 p.m., en­joy an end­less sup­ply of homemade chili and home brewed hol­i­day ale. Fif­teen dol­lars will get you in the door. Luther­an Set­tle­ment House an­nu­al Wild­wood trip
Sign up way ahead of time for the LSH seinor’s trip to Wild­wood, N.J. on Sunday, June 2 un­til Fri­day, June 7 for a week pacekd with din­ners, shows and lots of fun. This year, the seni­ors will head to the Re­ho­both Beach out­lets via the beau­ti­ful re­fur­bished Cape May-Lewes Ferry. Kids’ bas­ket­ball at Han­cock Rec.
The Han­cock Rec. Cen­ter bas­ket­ball pro­gram will be re­gis­ter­ing chil­dren ages 7 to 12 for its bas­ket­ball clin­ic and league for 2013. The clin­ic will be held at Mof­fet Ele­ment­ary School, Ox­ford and Mascher streets. Chil­dren can en­roll Tues­days and Thursdays from 6 to 7:30 p.m. All chil­dren must par­ti­cip­ate in the clin­ic to be eli­gible to play in the league.
