Community group meetings
The New Kensington Community Development Corporation’s Neighborhood Advisory Subcommittee (NAS) elections will be held tonight from 4 to 8 p.m. at the NKCDC office, 2515 Frankford Ave.
All persons 18 years of age or older residing in the NKCDC NAS service area (Laurel Street to Allegheny, Front Street/Kensington Avenue to the Delaware River) are eligible to vote.

The Port Richmond West Community Action Network and the West of Aramingo Neighbors Association will meet tonight at 7 at Memphis Street Academy Charter School, 2950 Memphis St.
The PRWCAN has invited ConRail to the meeting to inform neighbors what it intends to do with much of the vacant and unused railroad land in the community. The group also plans to discuss a real estate development in a former school building and industrial site as well as other issues. ••
The Fishtown Neighbors Association will meet tomorrow, Jan, 17, from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Fishtown Recreation Center. ••
The East Kensington Neighbors Association will meet Monday, Jan. 21, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Philadelphia Brewing Company, Martha and Hagert streets. ••
The Olde Richmond Civic Association will meet on Tuesday, Jan. 22, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Cione Rec., at Aramingo and Lehigh avenues. ••
The Northern Liberties Neighbors Association will meet Thursday, Jan. 24, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Northern Liberties Community Center, 700 N. Third St. ••
On Thursday, Jan. 24, at 7 p.m., join the Port Richmond Community Group at Our Lady Help of Christians, Allegheny Avenue at Gaul St.
The group will discuss the crime in Port Richmond and how it is being addressed. State Rep. John Taylor, Marc Collazzo, Esq., Lt. Vann of the 24th District and Sgt. Armstrong of the Narcotics Division will join the group. Email PRCGhelp@aol.com with questions. ••
Basketball at Hancock
The Hancock Recreation Center basketball program will be registering children ages 7 to 12 for its basketball clinic and league for 2013. The clinic will be held at Moffet Elementary School, Oxford and Mascher streets.

Join Bridesburg’s ‘Company B’
Singers, dancers, or anyone ages 8 to 18 interested in becoming a member of this musical theater group can attend open auditions for the spring musical on Saturday, Jan. 19 and Saturday, Jan. 26.

This winter, the Bridesburg Recreation Center is offering a wide range of adult activities. The schedule includes: Zumba classes on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturday mornings; ceramics on Tuesdays from 6:30 to 9 p.m.; scrapbooking on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 9 p.m.; a ladies’ bowling league on Tuesdays at 9 a.m. at Erie Lanes, 1300 E. LSH casino trip
Join the Lutheran Settlement House seniors on a trip to the Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs on Friday, Feb. 22. Cost: $36; includes the driver’s tip, casino package of $20 and the buffet.
