SNAPSHOTS: Port Richmond kids

See what young people in Port Rich­mond have been up to this fall.



On Nov. 16, stu­dents from Mem­ph­is Street Academy Charter School in Port Rich­mond helped rake leaves and clean up Powers Park, along with mem­bers of the Friends of Powers Park. The park is loc­ated at Al­mond and Ann streets. This was part of the city­wide “LOVE Your Park” day of ser­vice, dur­ing which many com­munity groups gath­er in neigh­bor­hood parks to clean and care for the grounds. 

On Nov. 21, sev­er­al Rizzo PAL stu­dents com­peted in the PAL’s city­wide chess com­pet­i­tion fi­nals at Temple Uni­versity.
