Bustleton bank robber sought

Au­thor­it­ies are try­ing to identi­fy a gun­man who robbed a Bustleton bank last Thursday.

The heist oc­curred at Sov­er­eign Bank, 9200 Roosevelt Blvd., at about 1:30 p.m. when the crook entered the bank, showed a black semi­auto­mat­ic hand­gun to a tell­er and de­man­ded money, ac­cord­ing to the FBI. The tell­er handed over an un­dis­closed amount of cash and fled the scene on foot in an un­known dir­ec­tion.

The rob­ber was de­scribed as black, in his mid-30s, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and slim. He wore all-dark cloth­ing, in­clud­ing a base­ball cap, sunglasses and a Nike jack­et or sweat­shirt with a white zip­per in the front and a “swoosh” logo on the left chest. He is con­sidered armed and dan­ger­ous.
