Most wanted pharmacy burglar pinched in North Wildwood

Authorities from Philadelphia and North Wildwood have captured a fugitive who was wanted for the burglary of a Northeast pharmacy in May and is considered a “person of interest” in numerous ATM break-ins across the city.

Dennis Woods, aka Dennis Boyce, 38, was holed up at the Aruba Motel at 20th Street and Surf Avenue in the popular New Jersey shore town. Philadelphia and North Wildwood police, along with FBI agents, arrested him there “without incident” on Friday afternoon, according to Officer Christine O’Brien, a Philadelphia police spokeswoman.

Woods, whose last known address was the 2400 block of S. American Street in South Philly, was listed by Northeast Detectives as a top five Most Wanted fugitive on July 3 and 31 as part of the Northeast Times’ regular Most Wanted feature. On Aug. 13, Philadelphia police announced Woods as a suspect in nine ATM heists this summer.

The pharmacy burglary occurred on May 5 at Delaire Pharmacy, 9400 State Road, when Woods and an accomplice allegedly broke into the business and made off with prescription medications.

Woods is held at Cape May County Correctional Center while awaiting extradition to Philadelphia. He was also wanted on warrants out of North Wildwood for traffic violations and out of Deptford Township, N.J., for trespassing. ••
