7-Eleven armed robber sought

An armed robber who struck at a Parkwood convenience store on Aug. 18 remains on the loose, Philadelphia police said.


AOH ‘Rally for Rags’ fundraiser is Sept. 7

Division 87 of the Ancient Order of Hibernians invites all family and friends of Mike “Rags” Rad to an afternoon of music, food and adult beverages to benefit his battle with illness. The Rally for Rags beef ’n’ beer will be on Saturday, Sept. 7, from 3 to 7 p.m., at Division 87, 2171 Wakeling St., just north of Harbison Avenue.

Chamber golf outing slated for Sept. 6

The 91st annual Greater Northeast Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce Golf Outing will take place on Friday, Sept. 6, at Torresdale-Frankford Country Club, at 3801 Grant Ave. (at Frankford Avenue). PECO Energy is the lead sponsor. The cost is $225 per golfer or $900 for a foursome. Dinner-only guests pay $50.
