The second an­nu­al Fishtown Saint LauR­UNti­us 5K saw a turnout of about 300 par­ti­cipants on Sat­urday, April 20.

Pri­or to the race, at Mem­ph­is and Berks streets, par­ti­cipants honored the vic­tims of the Bo­ston Mara­thon bomb­ings with a mo­ment of si­lence and a mo­ment of ap­pre­ci­ation for law en­force­ment.

Kyle Fran­cis was the over­all male win­ner in re­cord time, and Christina Cicco won the fe­male race.

The race raised $15,000 for St. Lauren­ti­us School. The staff and par­ents of St. Lauren­ti­us thank the many vo­lun­teers and spon­sors, in­clud­ing the Penn Treaty Spe­cial Ser­vices Dis­trict and Jim An­der­son Con­struc­tion for their con­tri­bu­tions, as well as the of­ficers of the 26th Po­lice Dis­trict.
