Philadelphia police seek the public’s help in identifying a man who sexually assaulted and robbed a 19-year-old woman in Wissinoming early on April 8.
The victim was walking along the 5700 block of Frankford Ave. at 3:45 a.m. when the attacker approached her and tried to start a conversation, police said. When she kept walking, the attacker punched her in the face, picked her up from the ground and carried her to the nearby Wissinoming Park, where he assaulted her sexually, stole $100 from her and fled. The victim had been at the Frankford Terminal a short time before the attack.
Police are looking for a black man, 25 to 35 years old, 6 feet tall with a medium build and a dark complexion. He had a beard and wore a red hooded sweatshirt with white printing or embroidery on the front and sleeve. He also wore blue jeans and glasses.
