Peyton’s place is in your home

Peyton is a taupe-colored mutt with gor­geous hazel eyes who was sur­rendered by his own­ers be­cause they couldn’t care for him any longer.

The dog is at Phil­adelphia’s An­im­al Care and Con­trol, at 111 W. Hunt­ing Park Ave. His tag num­ber is A16831206.

Peyton ap­pears to be some kind of Amer­ic­an pit bull ter­ri­er mix, but has long, slender legs and a thin frame. He is 1 to 2 years old and weighs 55 pounds.

Ad­op­tion hours are week­days from 1 to 8 p.m. and week­ends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. ••

She’s a Smart Alex

Alex is an 18-month-old fe­male cat in need of a home.

The cat is avail­able for ad­op­tion at the Wo­men’s Hu­mane So­ci­ety, at 3839 Rich­lieu Road in Ben­s­alem. Her tag num­ber is 2457.

Majest­ic Mist­ica

Mist­ica is a cute 5-month-old tabby and white kit­ten who loves to play and get at­ten­tion. Her half-tail that curls at the end makes her ex­tra cute.

The cat is in the care of North­east An­im­al Res­cue. She is spayed and mi­cro­chipped, cur­rent on vac­cin­a­tions and has tested neg­at­ive for the fe­line im­mun­ode­fi­ciency and leuk­emia vir­uses.

Nemo is an ad­or­able 3-year-old, de­clawed or­ange and white tabby who is in foster care via For­got­ten Cats.

The cat loves at­ten­tion and pam­per­ing. He has to be the only cat in his house, but dogs are fine.

Nemo is neutered and vac­cin­ated, and has tested neg­at­ive for the fe­line leuk­emia and im­mun­ode­fi­ciency vir­uses.
