EKNA/FNA to meet

East Kens­ing­ton Neigh­bors As­so­ci­ation and Fishtown Neigh­bors As­so­ci­ation will hold a pub­lic meet­ing to­night, Septem­ber 12 at 7:15 p.m. at Circle of Hope Church, 2007 Frank­ford Ave.

EKNA will re­view the zon­ing vari­ance for 2042 E. Ser­geant St., a new con­struc­tion non-con­form­ing single-fam­ily house. Then, EKNA and FNA will re­view a pro­posed li­quor li­cense for Soup Kit­chen, loc­ated at 2146 E. Susque­hanna Ave. ••

Co­hox dance re­gis­tra­tion

Co­hox Re­cre­ation Cen­ter, at 2901 Ce­dar St., will of­fer be­gin­ner’s tap and bal­let, youth tap, youth Ir­ish dance, youth hip-hop, and adult tap dance classes be­gin­ning Oc­to­ber 1.

Re­gis­tra­tion dates are Tues., Sept. 18 from 6:30 to 7:30, and Thurs., Sept. 27 from 6:30 to 7:30. Re­gis­tra­tion fee is $25. Any ques­tions please con­tact 215-685-9884. ••

Port Rich­mond Ti­gers news

Tick­ets are on sale for the Ti­gers’ 2012 an­nu­al sports ban­quet. It will be held Thursday, Sept 20 at 6 p.m. at the “Cas­bah,” at Thompson and Tioga streets. Eli­gibile play­ers are free but must get a tick­et. $15 for adults, $12 for non-play­ing chil­dren.

Every­one at­tend­ing must have a tick­et by Fri­day, Sept. 14. Tick­ets can be pur­chased at the club­house Monday through Fri­day, 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. For more in­form­a­tion call Tom Mack at 215-275-8838. ••

Ma­ter Dol­orosa bus trip

Cel­eb­rate the Feast of San Gen­naro with Ma­ter Dol­orosa Church with a bus trip to New York City. The trip will take place on Septem­ber 16.

Frank Glav­in flea mar­ket

The Frank Glav­in Play­ground fall flea mar­ket will be Sat­urday, Sept. 29, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Set-up space is $10 to be paid that morn­ing. Set-up is along Al­mond and West­mor­land streets on a first- come, first-serve basis. No food vendors. ••

Frank­lin Towne Charter pan­cake break­fast

Help sup­port the athet­lics de­part­ment at the second an­nu­al pan­cake break­fast on Sept. 15 from 8 a.m. un­til noon. The event will take place at Frank­lin Towne Charter High School in the  Frank­lin Towne Activ­ity Cen­ter, 5301 Ta­cony St. Cost is $5 for adults, $3 for chil­dren un­der 3. SKCP elec­tions

On Septem­ber 24 at 6:30 p.m., at the SKCP of­fice at 1301 N. 2nd St., the South Kens­ing­ton Com­munity Part­ners (SKCP) will hold its Neigh­bor­hood Ad­vis­ory Com­mit­tee (NAC) Elec­tions.

The group is cur­rently look­ing for neigh­bors to serve on the elec­tion com­mit­tee, which over­sees this elec­tion pro­cess, as well as those who are in­ter­ested in run­ning for the Neigh­bor­hood Ad­vis­ory Com­mit­tee.
