Holme Circle Civic will elect new officers at next meeting

The Holme Circle Civic As­so­ci­ation will elect new ex­ec­ut­ive board of­ficers dur­ing the group’s next monthly meet­ing on Wed­nes­day, Nov. 28.

Nom­in­a­tions are now be­ing ac­cep­ted for all po­s­i­tions, in­clud­ing pres­id­ent, vice pres­id­ent, re­cord­ing sec­ret­ary, treas­urer and cor­res­pond­ing sec­ret­ary. Nom­in­ees must be HCCA mem­bers in good stand­ing. Sev­er­al nom­in­ees were named at the most re­cent civic meet­ing on Oct. 24 and in­cluded Elsie Stevens (pres­id­ent), Mike Gould (vice pres­id­ent), Betty Brown (re­cord­ing sec­ret­ary), Tom Mc­Curdy (treas­urer) and Kristin Moore (cor­res­pond­ing sec­ret­ary). Mc­Curdy is the only stand­ing of­fice-hold­er.

HCCA board mem­ber Joe Raz­ler also re­por­ted that the civic group’s re­cent mem­ber­ship drive has yiel­ded res­ults. The group wel­comed four new mem­bers at the Oct. 24 meet­ing, which about 30 people at­ten­ded.

The next meet­ing will be held at the St. Jerome’s School lib­rary, Stam­ford and Col­fax streets, at 7 p.m. Ad­di­tion­al nom­in­a­tions will be ac­cep­ted at the meet­ing.

Only mem­bers in good stand­ing will be eli­gible to vote, but the meet­ing is open to the pub­lic. ••
