Mayfair Holmesburg Thanksgiving Parade is ready to march into town

The theme is Neighborhood Unity.

The grand marshals will be civic association presidents Rich Frizell (Holmesburg), Joe DeFelice (Mayfair) and Mary Benussi (Tacony).

The parade route will be on Frankford Avenue from Rhawn Street to Knorr Street.

The Mayfair Business Association is producing the parade and welcomes members of the community to participate by designing their own floats. Prizes will be awarded to the most creative, funniest and best parade-themed floats. All floats must be family oriented and no higher than 12 feet because of the SEPTA trolley lines.

Parade organizers are requesting that the public patronize only approved vendors who will be wearing pink buttons. They are also asking children not to spray silly string on parade participants.

To participate, volunteer, become a sponsor or for more information, call 215–624–6660, visit www.thanksgivingparade.org, e-mail info@thanksgivingparade.org or check out the Mayfair Holmesburg Thanksgiving Parade page on Facebook. ••
