Celebrate Tacony history this weekend

The Historical Society of Tacony will celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Christa Lewis Memorial Arboretum this Saturday at 1 p.m.

The arboretum, at Keystone and Disston streets, was created in memory of Christa Lewis, a 16-year-old St. Hubert High School honor student stabbed to death at a carnival at Russo Park in 1996.

The public is invited to the ceremony, which will feature the unveiling of new trees, plantings and stone memorials. There will be guest speakers and hymns. ••
