Houses passes bill marking Nov. 7 as Victims of Communism Memorial Day; 3 local Dems vote no

The state House of Representatives on Tuesday voted to declare Nov. 7 as “Victims of Communism Memorial Day” in Pennsylvania.

The day coincides with the National Day for the Victims of Communism, first declared in 2017 to mark the 100th anniversary of the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia, an uprising that led to the Soviet Union and communism, which has been said to have led to the deaths of more than 100 million people around the world.
