The dog, who is less than a year old, was found as a stray. He loves affection and other pets. He’s a good boy with a silly side.

Zowee is at Philadelphia’s Animal Care and Control , at 111 W. Hunting Park Ave. His tag number is A16540429.

Adoption hours are weekdays from 1 to 8 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. ••

She’s a real Beauty

Beauty is a 10-year-old sweetheart ebony girl who wants nothing but your devotion and to give it back to you tenfold. She would thrive with cuddles and a quiet home and is fine with other pets. She is with Forgotten Cats. Don’t overlook this sweet little lady because of her age — her heart still has lots of love to return to you!

Beauty is neutered and vaccinated, and has tested negative for the feline leukemia and immunodeficiency viruses.

To apply to adopt Beauty, visit www.petfinder.com/shelters/PA586.html or go to the PetSmart at 901 Old York Road in Jenkintown. ••

Omar is a mama’s boy

Omar has a beautiful exotic face with a long muzzle. He has adopted one of his foster parents’ Pomeranians as a surrogate mother and will sleep pressed against her side, which really annoys the dog. He ignores most cat toys but likes to play with a wadded sheet of paper and carry it around in his mouth.

Omar is spayed, microchipped and current on vaccinations, and has tested negative for the feline leukemia virus. His mother has also tested negative for the feline leukemia virus. Omar’s approximate birthday is January 2012. Omar’s mom, Candi, and Omar’s siblings Oakley and Oscar are also available for adoption.

Omar is in the care of Northeast Animal Rescue. To adopt Omar or the others, fill out an application at http://nar.rescuegroups.org/animals/detail?AnimalID=4389850.
