In cham­pi­on­ship soc­cer res­ults:

Boys Pub­lic League Cham­pi­on­ship: North­east knocked off top-seeded Frank­lin Towne Charter, 1-0, to win its first Pub­lic League soc­cer title since 2007. Andy Jean-Pierre’s goal late in the second half gave re­tir­ing coach Sam Feld­man one fi­nal cham­pi­on­ship to cel­eb­rate to­geth­er. North­east will play the win­ner of to­night’s Fath­er Judge-La Salle game in the city cham­pi­on­ship game on Fri­day.

Boys Cath­ol­ic League Cham­pi­on­ship: Fath­er Judge and La Salle will play for the Cath­ol­ic League title to­night (Thursday) at 6 p.m. at Arch­bish­op Ry­an. The win­ner will face North­east in the city title game to­mor­row night.

Girls Pub­lic League Cham­pi­on­ship: Frank­lin Towne Charter won its second straight cham­pi­on­ship, get­ting a late goal from ex­plos­ive scor­ing ju­ni­or Rachel Gil­borges in its 1-0 win over Cent­ral. Towne and Arch­bish­op Ry­an will play for the city cham­pi­on­ship this even­ing (the Rag­dolls knocked off Towne 5-0 dur­ing the reg­u­lar sea­son). It will be a match-up of two teams with just two losses between them all sea­son.

Girls Cath­ol­ic League Cham­pi­on­ship: Arch­bish­op Ry­an capped its in­cred­ible, un­beaten sea­son with a 3-1 win over Lans­dale Cath­ol­ic in Wed­nes­day night’s cham­pi­on­ship game, and will play Frank­lin Towne in to­night’s city cham­pi­on­ship game.
