Papa wants to plant a kiss on you

Papa is a 1- to 2-year-old male pit bull mix who was found starving in someone’s yard.

At the time, he weighed just 31 pounds, but is getting regular feedings, gaining weight and looking great. He is at Philadelphia’s Animal Care and Control, at 111 W. Hunting Park Ave. His tag number is A17363582.

Papa is handsome and has gentle eyes. He loves to give hugs and kisses.

Adoption hours are weekdays from 1 to 8 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. ••

Lovely Laverne

Laverne is a 5-month-old black tux kitten who is super soft and social.

Her sister Shirley was adopted, but she remains in foster care via Forgotten Cats. She gets along with kids, dogs and other cats.

Laverne is spayed and vaccinated, and has tested negative for the feline leukemia and immunodeficiency viruses.

Seymour is a tiny, adorable, sweet, 3-month-old cat who was rescued from a high-kill shelter. He is in the care of Northeast Animal Rescue.

The cat wants to be picked up or sit on someone’s lap to be petted. He likes to play with his toy mouse.

Seymour is neutered and current on vaccinations, and has tested negative for the feline immunodeficiency and leukemia viruses.
