Papa wants to plant a kiss on you

Papa is a 1- to 2-year-old male pit bull mix who was found starving in someone’s yard.

At the time, he weighed just 31 pounds, but is get­ting reg­u­lar feed­ings, gain­ing weight and look­ing great. He is at Phil­adelphia’s An­im­al Care and Con­trol, at 111 W. Hunt­ing Park Ave. His tag num­ber is A17363582.

Papa is hand­some and has gentle eyes. He loves to give hugs and kisses.

Ad­op­tion hours are week­days from 1 to 8 p.m. and week­ends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. ••

Lovely Lav­erne

Lav­erne is a 5-month-old black tux kit­ten who is su­per soft and so­cial.

Her sis­ter Shir­ley was ad­op­ted, but she re­mains in foster care via For­got­ten Cats. She gets along with kids, dogs and oth­er cats.

Lav­erne is spayed and vac­cin­ated, and has tested neg­at­ive for the fe­line leuk­emia and im­mun­ode­fi­ciency vir­uses.

See Sey­mour as your own

Sey­mour is a tiny, ad­or­able, sweet, 3-month-old cat who was res­cued from a high-kill shel­ter. He is in the care of North­east An­im­al Res­cue.

The cat wants to be picked up or sit on someone’s lap to be pet­ted. He likes to play with his toy mouse.

Sey­mour is neutered and cur­rent on vac­cin­a­tions, and has tested neg­at­ive for the fe­line im­mun­ode­fi­ciency and leuk­emia vir­uses.
