Cher­ish your Liberty

Liberty is a pretty, sweet, 4-year-old fe­male dog who was sur­rendered by her own­ers be­cause of land­lord is­sues.

The dog weighs about 45 pounds and ap­pears to be house­broken. She is spayed and up to date on shots. She knows com­mands such as “sit,” “paw” and “down.” She loves be­ing in the com­pany of people and likes to be pet­ted.

Liberty is at Phil­adelphia’s An­im­al Care and Con­trol, at 111 W. Hunt­ing Park Ave. Her tag num­ber is A16012046. Any­one in­ter­ested in ad­opt­ing or fos­ter­ing her can bring their fam­ily, es­pe­cially dogs and kids un­der 12, to meet her.

Ad­op­tion hours are week­days from 1 to 8 p.m. and week­ends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. ••

Little Debbie, big purr

Little Debbie is a young, petite, fe­male sil­ver tor­toise­shell cat. She is in foster care via For­got­ten Cats.

The cat is very af­fec­tion­ate and has a big purr. She prefers to be the only kitty in the house.

Little Debbie is spayed and vac­cin­ated, and has tested neg­at­ive for the fe­line leuk­emia and im­mun­ode­fi­ciency vir­uses.

Ad­op­tion hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tues­days, Thursdays, Fri­days and Sat­urdays and 1 to 7 p.m. on Wed­nes­days.

Daisy, the cat pro­filed in last week’s Times, re­mains avail­able for ad­op­tion.

En­sign is a 16-month-old cat who was found out­doors, aban­doned in an apart­ment com­plex dur­ing a trap-neu­ter-re­lease pro­ject. He was hungry and thin.

Today, he is eat­ing well. He loves cat­nip toys and sleep­ing on laps. He is fine with oth­er cats, but is not fond of dogs. He would love to have a per­man­ent home.

En­sign is neutered and cur­rent on vac­cin­a­tions, and has tested neg­at­ive for the fe­line im­mun­ode­fi­ciency and leuk­emia vir­uses.
