Love Paris in the springtime

Paris Nicole is a 3-year-old, 40-pound female dog available for adoption at Philadelphia’s Animal Care and Control, at 111 W. Hunting Park Ave.

The dog is already spayed and potty-trained. She knows the commands “sit” and “down,” and walks nicely on a leash.

The easygoing dog is happy sitting around or taking long walks. She has white fur with pretty brindle patches and deep, dark soulful eyes. She was given up because her family had a baby.

Before being adopted, she would like to meet other family dogs and children under 12.

Adoption hours are weekdays from 1 to 8 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Her tag number is A15079584. ••

Mama Whitney

Whitney is in foster care, waiting to be adopted.

The cat, who will turn 2 years old in April, was thin and hungry when she gave birth to four kittens on the streets of the city. Three of the kittens have been adopted through Northeast Animal Rescue.

Whitney is playful and active. She loves attention and playing with toys, especially her catnip banana. She gets along with other cats but would prefer a home without dogs. She is spayed and current on all vaccinations, and has tested negative for the feline immunodeficiency and leukemia viruses.

To adopt Whitney, fill out an application at http://nar.rescuegroups.org/animals/detail?AnimalID=3386457 or visit PetSmart at 11000 Roosevelt Blvd. ••
