Suspect sought in U-Haul store stabbing

Phil­adelphia po­lice are try­ing to identi­fy a man who al­legedly stabbed an­oth­er man re­peatedly at a North­east U-Haul store on March 2. A video of the at­tack has been pos­ted on You­Tube.

The con­front­a­tion oc­curred at 7750 Roosevelt Blvd. and began with a quar­rel in­side the store, po­lice said. It es­cal­ated in­to a phys­ic­al battle in the park­ing lot. The sur­veil­lance foot­age shows both com­batants swinging fists.

Dur­ing the fight, one of the men pulled out a knife and stabbed the oth­er mul­tiple times in the head and body, po­lice said.

The man with the knife is de­scribed as black, 25 to 35 years old and 6 feet 3 inches tall. He speaks with an “Afric­an ac­cent,” po­lice said. He fled the scene in a tan or gold sedan, pos­sibly a Honda Ac­cord or Toyota Camry.
