Police probe fatal shooting in Frankford


Gun­fire on a Frank­ford street corner claimed the life of a Ger­man­town man on June 12.

Po­lice were called to the 4700 block of Griscom St. at 6:51 p.m. in re­sponse to a re­port of a shoot­ing. They found Dia­mond Brown, 22, with a single wound of the neck, said Of­ficer Jill­ian Rus­sell, a Phil­adelphia po­lice spokes­wo­man.

Brown, of the 200 block of W. Queen Lane, was taken to Temple Uni­versity Hos­pit­al and pro­nounced dead at 7:07 p.m.

In­vest­ig­at­ors have no sus­pects and are not sure of the motive, Rus­sell said. A de­scrip­tion of the gun­man was not re­leased. ••
