Don't for­get about dear old Dad! Star has you covered with a list of fun, fath­er-fo­cused events to make him feel spe­cial.

Na­tion­al Fath­er­hood Fest­iv­al

On Sat­urday, June 16, take Dad out to the 7th-an­nu­al Na­tion­al Fath­er­hood Fest­iv­al.

It’s a free con­fer­ence that provides work­shops centered on edu­cat­ing male par­ents and ment­ors.

This event will be held at the Con­ven­tion Cen­ter, on Arch Street at 12th Street, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Child­care is avail­able, and break­fast and lunch are provided.

The con­fer­ence of­fers in­form­a­tion on cus­tody and sup­port rights, health and heart well­ness, money man­age­ment, what new fath­ers need to know and how to make a dif­fer­ence in your child’s edu­ca­tion.

Gary Papa Run

Spend Fath­er’s Day help­ing oth­ers by par­ti­cip­at­ing in the 10th an­nu­al Gary Papa Run to be­ne­fit pro­state can­cer re­search and aware­ness.

On, June 17, Pro­state Health In­ter­na­tion­al will host the run, named in hon­or of 6ABC’s former sports­caster Gary Papa.

This 5K run/walk and 1-mile “fun walk” will be­gin at 8:30 a.m. at Eakins Oval at the Phil­adelphia Mu­seum of Art, 2600 Ben­jamin Frank­lin Park­way.

Daddy and Me Day at the Phil­adelphia Zoo

Cel­eb­rate Fath­er’s Day with a fam­ily slee­p­over at the Phil­adelphia Zoo from 6:30 p.m. Sat­urday, June 16 to 10 a.m. Sunday,  June 17. You’ll meet the zoo’s edu­ca­tion an­im­al am­bas­sad­ors, take a night hike and learn about how an­im­als take care of their young­sters. Found­ing Fath­ers’ stroll

Join the Fath­er’s Day 5K stroll across the Ben­jamin Frank­lin Bridge for the first ever “Found­ing Fath­er’s Day Stroll.”

Dur­ing the stroll on Sunday, June 17, from 8 a.m. to noon, par­ti­cipants can meet found­ing fath­er Thomas Jef­fer­son, learn about his love of ex­er­cise and take a pic­ture with him. Bring your cam­era!

This event helps the Friends of In­de­pend­ence save Phil­adelphia’s na­tion­al treas­ures and pre­serve the na­tion­al park.

Tick­ets are $15 for adults, $10 for first child aged between six and 14 years of age ($5 for each ad­di­tion­al child) and free for chil­dren aged five or young­er.

Simeone Auto Mu­seum free ad­mis­sion

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 17, Kens­ing­ton nat­ive and ex­ec­ut­ive dir­ect­or of Simeone Auto Mu­seum Fred Simeone will of­fer free ad­mis­sion to fath­ers who are ac­com­pan­ied by a fam­ily mem­ber.

The Simeone Auto Mu­seum is one of the world’s largest col­lec­tions of ra­cing sports cars. The mu­seum has over 60 of the rarest and most sig­ni­fic­ant sports cars ever built.
