Reward for info on suspect in slaying


The city of Phil­adelphia is of­fer­ing a re­ward of up to $20,000 for in­form­a­tion lead­ing to the ar­rest and con­vic­tion of a May­fair man wanted in con­nec­tion with a fatal shoot­ing on Thursday in Ger­man­town.

Po­lice say that An­thony Baker, 26, has a last known ad­dress on the 6300 block of Al­gard St., al­though his where­abouts are un­known.

The shoot­ing oc­curred at Mari­on and Hans­berry streets at 1:29 a.m. Of­ficers from the 39th Po­lice Dis­trict re­spon­ded to a re­port of gun­fire and found Dav­id Mc­Cle­n­ic, 23, suf­fer­ing from mul­tiple gun­shot wounds of the torso. He was pro­nounced dead at the scene.

In­vest­ig­at­ors de­term­ined that Mc­Cle­n­ic had been in­volved in a phys­ic­al al­ter­ca­tion with sev­er­al males.

Baker is con­sidered armed and dan­ger­ous. He is black and is de­scribed as 5 feet, 5 inches tall and 130 pounds.
