Northeast woman dies in Fishtown crash

Two people died, in­clud­ing a North­east wo­man, and a third was in­jured in a single-vehicle crash in Fishtown early Sunday.

An­nette Nash, 46, of the 2700 block of Wil­lits Road, was be­hind the wheel of a 2004 Dodge Dakota pickup truck at 3:53 a.m. when she lost con­trol of the vehicle while trav­el­ing south­bound on Rich­mond Street at Gir­ard Av­en­ue, said Of­ficer Jill­ian Rus­sell, a Phil­adelphia po­lice spokes­wo­man.

The truck struck a util­ity pole. Nash was taken to Hahne­mann Uni­versity Hos­pit­al with un­dis­closed in­jur­ies and pro­nounced dead at 4:55 a.m. A back-seat pas­sen­ger, Daniel Cor­d­ero, 45, of the 2400 block of Pennsylvania Ave., also was trans­por­ted to Hahne­mann with un­dis­closed in­jur­ies and pro­nounced dead at 4:13 a.m.

A front-seat pas­sen­ger, a 41-year-old wo­man whose name has not been re­leased, sur­vived the crash with a broken ankle and was taken in stable con­di­tion to Hahne­mann.

The cause of the crash is not known and re­mains un­der in­vest­ig­a­tion. ••
