Gunmen sought in fatal shooting


Phil­adelphia po­lice are hunt­ing for two gun­men who al­legedly shot a Frank­ford man fatally in the head near Bridge Street and Tor­res­dale Av­en­ue last Wed­nes­day even­ing.

Hom­icide de­tect­ives have not dis­closed a motive in the slay­ing or how they iden­ti­fied the sus­pects. James Brooks, 22, of the 2000 block of Haworth St. or the 1900 block of Pa­cific St., and Tyr­one Jef­fer­son, 18, of the 2100 block of Wakeling St., are con­sidered armed and dan­ger­ous and re­main at large.

Patrol of­ficers went to the crime scene on the 2000 block of Bridge St. just after 7:30 p.m. and found Quadir Bush, 32, of the 2000 block of Brill St., ly­ing in the street with mul­tiple wounds of the fore­head. He was taken to Hahne­mann Uni­versity Hos­pit­al and pro­nounced dead at about 8 p.m.

Brooks is black, 5 feet 10 inches tall and 175 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Jef­fer­son is black, 6 feet 4 inches tall and 250 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes, along with a prom­in­ent scar on the out­side of his right leg, just above the ankle.
