About 250 res­id­ents at­ten­ded work­shops and a back-to-school pep rally sponsored by state Rep. Tony Payton Jr. at the school. More than two dozen people took ad­vant­age of free dent­al checkups. Al­most 200 book bags, 2,000 pen­cils, 300 pens, 250 spir­al note­books and loads of oth­er school sup­plies along with Mc­Don­ald’s gift cards and gift cards for Cramer’s Uni­forms on Frank­ford Av­en­ue. Payton aide Dafney Tales said more book bags will be dis­trib­uted this week out­side the rep­res­ent­at­ive’s of­fice on the 4500 block of Frank­ford Ave. All the school sup­plies were donated by in­di­vidu­als, or­gan­iz­a­tions and loc­al com­pan­ies, she said.
