You’ll love Lucy

Lucy is a sweet 5-year-old cat who was rescued from a local animal shelter along with her babies in early 2008.

The kittens have long since found their forever homes. While Lucy is well-loved and taken care of in her foster home, she longs to be someone’s center of attention in a permanent home of her own.

Lucy gets along well with other cats. She is spayed and current on vaccinations, and has tested negative for the feline immunodeficiency and leukemia viruses

To adopt Lucy, fill out an application at http://nar.rescuegroups.org/animals/detail?AnimalID=500470 ••

He’s a Trooper

Trooper is an adorable, bat-eared dog who came to Philadelphia’s Animal Care and Control, at 111 W. Hunting Park Ave., as a stray.

The dog was covered in fleas and missing much of his beautiful white and tan coat, but is all better now.

Trooper is about 1 to 2 years old. He has a happy personality and is working on improving his basic manners, including walking on a leash. He loves to play fetch with a tennis ball.

Adoption hours are weekdays from 1 to 8 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Trooper’s tag number is A16776016. ••
