Parkwood teen critical after stabbing

A Park­wood teen­ager re­mained hos­pit­al­ized in crit­ic­al con­di­tion on Tues­day, a week after he was stabbed re­peatedly in the neigh­bor­hood.

The at­tack oc­curred on the 12900 block of Med­ford Road, a res­id­en­tial area ad­ja­cent to Poquess­ing Val­ley Park, when an un­known male punched, slashed and stabbed the 17-year-old vic­tim in the stom­ach, chest and neck, said Of­ficer Jill­ian Rus­sell, a Phil­adelphia po­lice spokes­wo­man.

Au­thor­it­ies did not identi­fy the vic­tim pub­licly. He is be­ing treated at Aria Health-Tor­res­dale.

The sus­pect was de­scribed as black, in his 20s, 5 feet 9 inches tall and about 210 pounds or “chubby.” He had a short afro hair­cut and wore a black hood­ie, along with black pants. He may use the nick­name “Pro.”

No motive was re­por­ted.
