Bystander injured by O.C. gunfire

Gunfire between two men on an Oxford Circle street critically wounded a teenage bystander on Aug. 30, Philadelphia police say.

Authorities have not released the identity of the 19-year-old victim. He suffered a leg wound and was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center in critical but stable condition. He is expected to survive.

The shootout occurred at 7:13 p.m. on the 1400 block of Stevens St. Once the bullets began flying, the wounded victim crawled to a nearby home, where police found him on the stoop.

Officers arrested one man at the scene. Torrance Wright, 21, of the 3100 block of N. 29th St., has been charged with aggravated assault, weapons violations and related charges.

No description was available of the second shooter. ••
