Bystander injured by O.C. gunfire

Gun­fire between two men on an Ox­ford Circle street crit­ic­ally wounded a teen­age bystand­er on Aug. 30, Phil­adelphia po­lice say.

Au­thor­it­ies have not re­leased the iden­tity of the 19-year-old vic­tim. He suffered a leg wound and was taken to Al­bert Ein­stein Med­ic­al Cen­ter in crit­ic­al but stable con­di­tion. He is ex­pec­ted to sur­vive.

The shootout oc­curred at 7:13 p.m. on the 1400 block of Stevens St. Once the bul­lets began fly­ing, the wounded vic­tim crawled to a nearby home, where po­lice found him on the stoop.

Of­ficers ar­res­ted one man at the scene. Tor­rance Wright, 21, of the 3100 block of N. 29th St., has been charged with ag­grav­ated as­sault, weapons vi­ol­a­tions and re­lated charges. 

No de­scrip­tion was avail­able of the second shoot­er. ••
