Tricks are for Thor

Thor is a young pit bull mix who is resid­ing at Phil­adelphia’s An­im­al Care and Con­trol, 111 W. Hunt­ing Park Ave., after be­ing sur­rendered by his own­ers.

The dog wants a new home with a soft, warm bed and a fam­ily to snuggle with and call his own.

Thor knows a few tricks and com­mands such as “sit,” “paw,” “oth­er paw” and “high five.”

Fam­il­ies should bring any oth­er dogs and chil­dren be­fore ad­opt­ing Thor.

Ad­op­tion hours are week­days from 1 to 8 p.m. and week­ends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Greta the Great

Greta’s fam­ily moved, and now this 3-year-old fe­male cat needs a new home. She likes oth­er cats, but has nev­er met dogs.

The cat is avail­able for ad­op­tion at the Wo­men’s Hu­mane So­ci­ety, at 3839 Rich­lieu Road in Ben­s­alem. Her tag num­ber is 3081.

Ad­op­tion hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tues­days, Thursdays, Fri­days and Sat­urdays and 1 to 7 p.m. on Wed­nes­days.

Little Foot wants to step in­to your life

Little Foot is a 3-year-old fe­male tor­toise­shell cat avail­able for ad­op­tion at the North­east An­im­al Res­cue. 

The cat was sur­rendered to North­east An­im­al Res­cue due to fin­an­cial reas­ons. She is very sweet, gets along with oth­er cats and loves to sleep with her foster mom at night. She is miss­ing her left hind leg but gets around the house just fine. She is up to date on shots and spayed, and has tested neg­at­ive for the fe­line im­mun­ode­fi­ciency and leuk­emia vir­uses.

Camry is the cat’s meow

Camry is a beau­ti­ful long-haired tor­toise­shell fe­male cat be­lieved to be 2 or 3 years old.

The cat was found wan­der­ing out­side, meow­ing to be let in­to any home. She is so­cial, loves to walk around the house and en­joys a sun bath by the win­dow. Camry is spayed and vac­cin­ated and has tested neg­at­ive for the fe­line im­mun­ode­fi­ciency and leuk­emia vir­uses. She’s in foster care via For­got­ten Cats.
